“Defenders of Child Dignity” conferred on Mr Abanimohan Panigrahi
Mr Abanimohan Panigrahi was awarded the Defenders of Child Dignity award by Liberated Childhood Movement, Bhubaneswar.
A certificate to that effect was awarded as given below. It recognises the contribution by Mr Abani towards this goal. It specifically highlights the case of Prasanth Nahaka of Berhampur, Odisha.
There are many children specially from tribal areas who are victim of this practice and the sad part is that the Government both at the Centre and State are mute spectators. Nothing much on ground has been done to remove or reduce this practice.
